Two poems

By Reid Baer

The Sword Is Pointed Down
And My Hands Are On The Hilt

This is where I dream
of being leader and King

Early Morning Prayer

I have damned my brother
from desperate need
with never a notion
I might be free

How much better to say
"God be with thee"
and share in the blessing
He has for me
